Iwobi in dreamland over Eagles victory

•Kanu wants more wins
Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi has revealed his delight at scoring his first competitive goal for Nigeria on his full competitive debut for the Super Eagles on Sunday.
The Premier League partnership of Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Iwobi paid dividends as the Super Eagles made a winning start to the group phase of the World Cup qualifiers with a 2-1 victory in Zambia on Sunday.

The strikers, both 20, scored in the first half in Ndola as Nigeria served notice of their potential in Group B despite their failure to qualify for January’s African Nations Cup finals.
ALEX IWOBI English-bred Iwobi swept home a right-footed effort just after the half-hour mark when Zambia’s defence failed to clear a long throw in. Nigeria’s second came when City starlet Iheanacho went on a mazy run, rounded the goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene and cut inside to squeeze the ball inside the goal in the 42nd minute.
Zambia pulled one back through veteran striker Collins Mbesuma with 20 minutes remaining but could not conjure up an equaliser and look likely to struggle in Group B.
