Music Review:- Is Olamide “Pepper Dem Gang” A Classical Hit OR Another Beautiful Overhyped Nonsense?

🎶 Listen & Download “Olamide Ft. Davolee – Pepper Dem Gang”

This song Pepper Dem Gang is definitely another prove that Olamide can never run out of hit tracks in his lifetime. You will agree with me that this song deserves to be placed on auto-replay.

Even though the beat sound quite simple and ordinary but it takes a good artiste like Olamide to turn a rather ordinary beat to a great tune by jumping on it with well crafted lyrics.

The Chorus “Oh Baby” appears to be the unique selling point of the song, it’s a street slang everyone is able to relate with. Apparently, the song is a reflection of guys lifestyle with ladies and this makes it popular among ”Oshomo” and the Olosho boys. LOL!

In my own opinion, I would prefer Lil Kesh on that track rather than Davolee. This is not to say Davolee was not impressive on the song but Olamide and Davolee sound alike on the song which later makes the end part of the song boring to the ear.

Imagine Lil Kesh on that part, the sound of his voice alone would have added a little bit of dynamism to the song.

Meanwhile, it is quite obvious that Olamide’s efforts on all tracks on “The Glory Album is a sharp contrast on what we have in his previous album “Eyan Mayweather” released in 2015. The Glory album was given much needed treatment in terms of quality not minding the quantity.

Eyan Mayweather Album has up to 21 tracks, some of which are not well produced due to quantity of tracks intended to put in the album.

The Glory Album is a good reflection of dedication to quality rather than quantity from the YBNL team and I hope this will be the standard in Olamide’s upcoming album.

On a Scale of 10 my Rating to this song is 6/10…
